Come join a fun paddle on the Gorge in our quest for herring sites! Following up on the wonderful talk this week given by Jim Shortreed of the Victoria Herring Enhancement Program, we’ll be paddling around the Upper Gorge and Portage Inlet while Jim shows us what to look for to see if herring are coming back. There will be a few big canoes on the water, but feel free to bring your own canoe or kayak along, or send a request to borrow a club boat. If you are willing to come out and stern one of the big canoes please let Program Director Liz know at bigcanoe@vckc.ca .
