The course will start at 8:30 am and will finish by 12:30 followed by a pot-luck BBQ (veggie and meat hamburgers supplied) - please be at the club by at least 8:15. There will be pre-course videos to review prior to September 16th.
(NOTE: these times are approximate- we will start at 8:30, but the course may extend past 12:30)
The OC1 introduction course will cover:
1.
Basic OC1 anatomy - parts and care thereof
2. Safety equipment and protocols - range of travel and risk management
3. Fundamentals of boat assembly, preparation, launching, and storage
4. Paddling - basics and bracing technique
5. Huli (OC1) - completion of a successful OC1 huli
