Holiday Light Up Boat Parade and Social

Sorry for the late notice, but yes, we're still holding a Holiday Light Up Paddle and Potluck this year. Please mark THURSDAY, Dec 21 on your calendars (Winter Solstice!) for our event. There was much discussion about weekends being busy for many in December, so we decided to host our event on the Winter Solstice date instead this year.

Boat decorating can commence anytime that afternoon - with a goal of pushing off onto the water to paddle by 6pm. After we cruise around the Upper Gorge we'll return to the clubhouse for a Potluck Social - please bring a dish to share and your beverage of choice.

This year we're also supporting Burnside Gorge Community Association's Christmas Hamper Program - starting tomorrow there will be a box upstairs to accept food donations. The box will be in place until we wrap up our Paddle and Potluck, then we'll get the donations over to BGCA for their hampers. If you'd prefer to donate cash or gift cards (which often stretch further for programs such as these through their buying power arrangements), you can contact Karen Bahrey (Program Manager at BGCA) at 250-388-5251 to make arrangements directly with them (including an online donation option).
