We are excited to be opening up the 2023 Fort Assiniboine Bicentennial Brigade Registration.

The Brigade is scheduled to take place between Whitecourt and Athabasca from July 6th, 2023, and July 13, 2023. Currently, we have a strong crew of 3 paddlers pre-registered for this event, including  Ellie James, Wade Martinson, and Elizabeth Martinson. That said, we have room for approximately five to six more paddlers on this trip. The support crew is also welcome to contact Ellie or Wade if they wish to attend but not paddle. While no prior Big Canoe experience is required, new paddlers should be prepared to work hard, paddle up to 8 hours per day, and most importantly - have fun!

Those wishing to attend the event will need to book off additional days on either end of the trip for group travel from the Athabasca Area an hour's drive North of Edmonton. 

The $100.00 deposit fee is non-refundable and will pay the pre-registration fee for VCKC boats attending and those wishing to attend this trip must pre-register by May 20, 2022
