The course fee is less than the current going rate put on by other providers at $100 for club members. You must be a club member to attend.

Members will receive their Marine Radio Operators certificate which is good for life. This will allow you to operate a marine radio within Canadian waters legally.

It will also give you an idea of the type of radio to purchase, how to listen to the weather functions for remote tripping and know how to operate and converse properly over the open radio airwaves.

We will go over how to call the Kings Harbor Master at the Esquimalt base or BC Ferries to make your presence known in case of vessel movement or other reasons.

The course will be a full day course from morning until evening at the clubhouse. You would need to be able to stay for the full day on the course date.
